MTE will deliver its new Flare Heatshield System to Samsung Heavy Industries for the KG Ruby FPSO project. To meet the current market and customer demands, MTE are significantly investing in research and development for their Flare Heat Shields, delivering a highly competitive and cost-effective system.
Harnessing the skills and knowledge of MTE’s internal expertise, the investment of continuous R&D enables the company to deliver a cost-effective system whilst maximising product performance.
The flare platform Heat Shield system is specifically designed to allow for panels to be installed vertically or horizontally depending upon local requirements prior to the completion of the final position.
The new system is designed to meet extreme flaring temperatures of around 1300 degrees Celsius, providing protection to equipment and personnel during extreme heat situations. MTE’s system also provides a safe working platform for flare tip maintenance and gives high performance protection during flaring incidents.
The products will be manufactured at Mech-Tool Korea and delivered to SHI ready for installation on the KG Ruby FPSO.
