MTE has secured a new contract with Samsung Heavy Industries for Eni’s Coral South FLNG development, offshore Mozambique.
This new contract includes the design, engineering, manufacture and delivery of MTE’s Heat Shield products.
The Coral South floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project is expected to produce 3.4 million tonnes (Mt) of LNG a year during its 25 years of production and an anticipated start-up in mid-2022. When complete, the Coral South Development project will be the first FLNG vessel to be deployed in the African continent and only the third in the world.
MTE’s design team have complete detailed engineering using the company’s in-house design engineering software and fabrication work has commenced.
Our heat shield panels will be fitted onto the FLNG facility and will provide protection to electric and instrumental equipment against radiant heat and adverse environmental situations. Our high-quality systems are fabricated from high grade stainless steel, require minimal operational maintenance and offer significant weight saving benefits.
The heat shield products will be fabricated in Mech-Tool Korea’s facility and delivered to the FLNG project.
