Mech-Tool Engineering would like to welcome Ellis McMain and Marcus Stratton to the team as they begin their career journeys with us as Technical Apprentices.
MTE are committed to providing apprenticeship opportunities which attracts new talent and gives young people the opportunity to build a career and learn from our group of highly skilled and experienced engineers. Our apprenticeship programmes allow for real-life application, continued education and mentorship which consequently broadens MTE’s expertise and shapes the future of the company.
With support and guidance, Ellis and Marcus will work towards being able to understand the fundamentals of engineering and engineering practices with a view to producing General Arrangements and Fabrication Drawings from design instruction. Our new apprentices will also learn to check engineering drawings and/or associated fabrication details in line with the Project or Contract Program requirements.
Ellis and Marcus will also continue with their education and work towards acquiring their Engineering Technician Standard Level 3 qualification as well as undertaking in-house AutoCAD training, giving them the opportunity to maximise their development and employability further.
We hope that both apprentices enjoy their new roles here at MTE and we wish them both the best of luck!
