We are delighted to announce that our Apprentice of the Year title has been awarded to our Technical Apprentice, Chloe Reeves.
For the past year Chloe has been working in MTE’s Design and Engineering Department whilst successfully completing her BTEC Diploma in Engineering at South West Durham College and is now embarking on her HNC Manufacturing qualification.
The Apprentice of the Year Award recognises Chloe’s achievement and outstanding talent. Nominated for the award by her line manager – Louise Amerigo – Chloe, along with several other apprentices, produced and presented a project to the senior management team at MTE.
Chloe’s presentation explored how to expand MTE’s portfolio to include the design and manufacture of fire rated doors in a very competitive marketplace. She presented her project brief, demonstrated a firm understanding of the potential challenges, whilst giving a very in-depth and informative solution to the panel of judges. Impressively Chloe showed a real understanding of the market, suggesting cost savings that could be made whilst outlining potential profits in her five year detailed business plan.
Chloe’s confident and informative presentation was excellent and resulted in her achieving the award. Other apprentices impressed with their presentations and we are delighted to have such a talented pool of young budding engineers at MTE.
It’s important to us that our team members are shown appreciation for all their hard work and dedication to the business which is why we have these awards and why we continually provide support and training for young talent.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the apprentices involved and congratulate Chloe on her fantastic achievement.
