We are proud to announce we have successfully completed a fabrication project comprising a series of transportation cradles for one of the world’s largest wind farms to date.
Awarded by Able UK, we built eight heavy duty steel fabricated transportation cradles that will be used to move the transition pieces used on the wind turbines of Hornsea One offshore wind farm.
Located 120km off the Yorkshire coast – and reported to be the largest wind farm in the world – once complete Hornsea One is anticipated to power two million homes. Due for completion in 2021, the wind farm will comprise 174 turbines and will feature the longest power cable route at 900Km.
The completion of the project comes on the back of us announcing that we will be manufacturing 20 suspended internal support structures (SIPS) for the prestigious wind farm. The contract was awarded by Billingham based OSB EEW.
We are delighted to be working on a number of orders on this ground-breaking scheme and we have forged excellent relationships with our clients on these. Our solutions and outstanding engineering capabilities are recognised as world leading – and we are delighted to very much be at the forefront in what we do.
