Mech-Tool Engineering CEO, Marshall Garner, will be attending the House of Lords this week as an official guest of the Energy Industries Council (EIC). The event – which will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the trade association – will be hosted by Lord Popat of Harrow and will see a number of industry leading figures attending.
Formed in 1943 the EIC provides comprehensive sources on energy projects and business intelligence to help member companies understand, identify and pursue global business opportunities. With 650 members, MTE has been a member of the trade association for more than 10 years and also our MD, Anthony Jones has a seat on the EIC North Committee.
As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations, guests will be offered a short tour of Westminster and St Stephen’s Halls and will be given the opportunity to hear more about and donate to the association’s nominated charities for its 75th year; Cancer Research UK and The Ocean Cleanup.
Commenting on the visit Marshall stated: “We are delighted to have received this invite to the EIC’s 75th anniversary celebrations. The organisation plays an important role in providing members with market intelligence and opportunities that bolster business and – as such – is an important member body for MTE to be part of and to continue to support.”
