We are delighted to announce that the company has been commissioned by Petrofac to support the commissioning of the Galloper 2 offshore wind farm project following on from successful delivery to Heerema Hartlepool on this prestigious project.
Located 30 miles off the coast of Suffolk, Galloper Offshore is an extension to the Greater Gabbard Wind Farm, yet developed as an entirely separate entity.
Originally supplying the walls, fire doors, performance louvres and fire shutters for the Galloper project – during its construction phase at Heerema Hartlepool last year – MTE has since been commissioned by Petrofac to assist with system re-design, engineering and the supply of additional fire door materials. MTE has also been procured to mobilise a skilled workforce to commission doors and test fire shutters as part of Petrofac’s final commissioning activities.
Speaking about the contract, Anthony Jones, MD at MTE said: “Galloper 2 is one of the UKs most high-profile wind farms and – as such – MTE is delighted to, not only, have been involved on this project during its initial construction phase but to now be involved for a second time in its final commissioning.”
Project completion is expected this month.
