Mech-Tool Engineering Limited has been awarded the contract to design, engineer and manufacture 1,450m² of stainless steel bridge and stair tower heatshields for the Al Nasr Project.
Awarded by the Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd (HHI), the contract, is currently in the manufacture and delivery phase and is scheduled for completion in May this year.
The Al-Nasr oil field is located 80 miles northwest of Abu Dhabi and comprises a multi-platform complex that will include central processing facilities, accommodation, utilities, flares, bridges and power distribution. It is expected the oil field will deliver production of up to 65,000 barrels per day.
Speaking about the contract win, Anthony Jones, MD at MTE said: “The Al-Nasr oil field is currently one of the most high-profile projects in the Middle East and MTE is delighted to have been awarded this contract. Once again, this demonstrates the business’ capacity to work on some of the globe’s largest offshore projects to deliver the quality heatshield products MTE has become synonymous for.”
