Product designer, manufacturer and global supplier of fire, blast and heat hazard protection Mech-Tool Engineering Limited – based in the North East – has been announced as one of the top award winners in the UKs most prestigious Occupational Health and Safety Awards.
The company – based in Darlington –will receive the Order of Distinction Award in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2016. The highly acclaimed award comes in recognition of 16 consecutive Gold awards for the Teesside company since it started entering the prestigious annual scheme in 2000.
At an awards ceremony – to be held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel in July – the product manufacturing business will be recognised for its achievement in delivering consistently outstanding occupational health and management systems as well as best practice leadership and workforce engagement.
The award for the Darlington business will also coincide with a diamond anniversary for RoSPA as the awards celebrate 60 years of presenting highly-regarded and sought after accolades to businesses and organisations which have shown an outstanding commitment to accident and ill-health prevention.
