Since its formation in 2013, MTK’s presence in Busan has proven extremely successful in providing local fabrication and technical support to the Korean shipyards. This unique technical support has proved invaluable in securing work for the design, engineering, fabrication and supply of fire and blast protection products into the growing Korean market sector.
MTK has worked on a number of high profile projects including the supply of fire and blast rated walls; duct work and heat shields for the BP Clair Ridge Project, in the UKCS, as well as fire and blast walls for the Hebron project located in climatically challenging offshore Newfoundland. Current ongoing contracts include the supply of fire and blast walls, deck wind wall and stairtower heatshields on the Total Martin Linge platform and topside cladding and escape tunnel for Statoil Mariner project.
MTK has successfully completed the heat shield contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries [HHI] for the Total Moho Nord development in Congo and recently secured additional heatshield work from Samsung Heavy Industries [SHI]. The scope of supply to this international fabricator includes heat shields to the flare stack working platform of the Egina FPSO
