For over 45 years Mech-Tool Engineering Ltd [MTE] has led the field in the design and manufacture of innovative products that protect people and equipment from fire, blast and radiant heat hazards.

MTE safety mind-set earned the RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Order of Distinction for collecting 15 consecutive annual gold awards for outstanding performance in health and safety at work.
The award was presented by Darlington MP Jenny Chapman in a special ceremony held at the firm’s Darlington fabrication facility on Friday 11th September, 2015.
Jenny Chapman, MP for Darlington, said: “It’s great to see a Darlington company get the recognition it rightly deserves for placing such a high priority on health and safety in the workplace.”
The company reported a fantastic 35% increase in sales to £35 million for the year ended 31st March 2015. Its standards are affirmed by ISO 9001 and OHSAS accreditations and its success confirmed by The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 as International sales rose 140% pa to £27.3m in 2015, placing the firm at No 10 nationally.
